We are looking for a Chief Development Engineer to join our Asset Intelligence Development

Konecranes’ vision is to know in real time how millions of lifting devices and machine tools perform and to use this knowledge around the clock to make our customers’ operations safer and more productive.

Asset Intelligence Development is executing development projects where digitalization meets the lifting device. Projects related to intelligent, connected sensors and devices, algorithms and analytics for new equipment, and lifecycle market are teams’ focus areas. The team is responsible for defining and maintaining on-board intelligence architecture in lifting device. Having this role, the team works in close cooperation with Industrial Internet related businesses and developer.

– Detailed design, specification and implementation of GUI software based on high level requirements.

– Review design and implementation of others.

– Technical leadership and consultation, training and demos to internal stakeholders.

We are looking for a person with a strong technical background who can fluently discuss customer needs and use cases and translate technical requirements together with UX designers. Can well comprehend the role of GUI as part of a bigger machine. In this role you have a chance to work hands on and be part of building the whole crane system. Background as a full stack developer would be seen as a benefit.

We expect from you:

– Master’s or Bachelor’s engineering degree in information technology or relevant field. Minimum of 3 years of work experience in the area of software development.
– User interface design experience
– Programming languages: Qt/QML, C++, Python – Test automation and scripting
– Operating System knowledge from Linux
– Familiar with agile development methods
– Fluent English skills, other languages beneficial
