Terms of use


1.1 Purpose

JobGo is a social career network for professionals and companies. As a member of JobGo, you are part of an active, dynamic “inner circle” of professionals with access to a constantly expanding network of other professionals and the tools to manage your career and skills, giving you the potential to find the best possible career path.

With the aid of the JobGo network, professionals can build relationships with potential future employers and employers can build candidate pools for future requirements. Even people who aren’t actively seeking a new job can be found by headhunters and companies and be offered new chances for new success.

1.2 Scope and Intent

You agree that by registering on JobGo or by using our website, www.jobgo.com (the “Site”), including mobile applications, Premium Services and any content or information provided as part of the JobGo services (collectively “JobGo” or the “Services”), you are entering into a legally binding agreement with JobGo International Oy, Tallbackavägen 25 B, 02700 Kauniainen, Finland, Finnish company ID number 2565517­7 (“we,” “us,” “our” and “JobGo”) based on these Terms of Use and the JobGo Privacy Policy, which is hereby incorporated by reference (collectively referred to as the “Agreement”).

If you are using JobGo on behalf of a Company, you are individually bound by this Agreement even if your Company has a separate agreement with us.

By accessing and using the Services, you agree to comply with and be bound by this Agreement, whether you are visiting the Site (“Visitor”) or you are a “Member” (which means that you have registered on the Site). The term “User” refers to both Visitors and Members.

Please read this Agreement carefully before using the Services or parts thereof. Before accepting the Agreement, you must be aware that the Services rendered may vary according to the country where the Service is being used, in which case local legislation and/or public authority regulations may take precedence over the Agreement. JobGo has the sole right to transfer any rights herein to another company within the JobGo roup.


2.1 Becoming a Member

In order to become a Member and use the Services, you must create a password protected account on the Site (“Account”).

2.2 Eligibility

To be eligible to use the Services, you must meet the following criteria and represent and warrant that (i) all registration information you submit is accurate; (ii) you will maintain the accuracy of such information; and (iii) your use of the Services does not violate any applicable law or regulation, or any other obligation (including contractual obligation) you might have towards third parties.

In addition to the representations and warrants above, private persons (“Individuals”), shall represent and warrant that they are sixteen (16) years of age or older upon registration. However, if applicable law requires that you must be older than sixteen (16) in order for JobGo to lawfully provide the Services to you (including the collection, storage and use of your information in accordance with our privacy policy), then the stipulated age shall apply.

When creating an Account and its associated personal profile (“CV”), you shall not provide (i) information on illnesses, disability or pregnancy; (ii) any information about ethnic origin, political opinion, religious beliefs, trade union membership, health or sexual orientation; (iii) defamatory, slanderous or otherwise offensive information; (iv) information having no reasonable relation to the job or social profile created; or (v) information on any thirdparties (excluding situations when you are using JobGo on behalf of your company, in which case the Company shall not be deemed to be a third party).

Furthermore, you represent and warrant that the information you send us does not infringe the rights of third parties, contravene official regulations or breach public policy. Finally, you agree not to (i) take any action that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on the Site; (ii) post any CV or information which is not a genuine CV/information and which attempts to advertise or promote products or services and/or (iii) post any CV on behalf of another party.

2.3 CV Database

Any CV created by an Individual will become a part of JobGo and, except for the content and information that is licensed to us, will be owned by JobGo. The CVs posted on JobGo form a database (“CV Database”). The CV Database must be used in accordance with all applicable privacy and data protection laws, and all Members agree not to disclose any of the data from the JobGo CV Database to any third party, unless they are a Company using the CV Database explicitly for employment purposes. Companies shall take all required appropriate physical, technical, and administrative measures to protect the data obtained from the JobGo CV Database from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. The CV Database shall not be used for any purpose other than by Companies for employment purposes.

2.4 Obligations Concerning Companies

Employers, in­house managers, recruitment specialists, recruitment agencies, staffing agencies, advertising agencies or other agencies and/or other legal entities using the CV Database explicitly for employment purposes (“Companies”) are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their Company account, Company profile and passwords. Further, Companies are solely responsible for any information posted on the Site. Companies’ job advertisements shall not contain inaccurate, false, misleading or illegal information, and may not be used for any other purpose than recruitment for the job in question, i.e. it is not permitted to promote products, services, political parties, religious views, etc.

2.5 Password

You agree to (i) keep your password secure and confidential, (ii) not permit others to use your Account; and (iii) not use other Users’ accounts. Furthermore you are responsible for every action that happens through your Account until you close down your Account or prove that your Account security was compromised due to no fault of your own. You agree to notify us immediately at support@jobgo.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your Account or access to your password. You are solely responsible for any and all use of your Account. 2.6 Licence for Submission

You are not required to submit anything to JobGo, but if you choose to submit information or content you grant, by making this Agreement, a nonexclusive, irrevocable, worldwide, perpetual, unlimited, assignable, sublicensable, fully paid up and royalty­free right to us to copy, prepare derivative works of, improve, distribute, publish, remove, retain, add, process, analyse, use and commercialise, in any way known now or discovered in the future, on any information you provide, directly or indirectly, to JobGo, including, but not limited to, any user generated content, ideas, concepts, techniques and/or data for the services you submit to JobGo, without any further consent, notice and/or compensation to you or to any third parties. You may request deletion of your information in your Account at any time.

2.7 Payments

If you purchase any Services that we offer for a fee, either on a one­time or subscription basis (“Premium Services”), you agree to JobGo storing your payment card information or other applicable invoicing information.You also agree to pay the applicable fees for the Premium Services (including, without limitation, periodic fees and one­time lump sum payments) as they become due, plus all related value added or other taxes, and to reimburse us for all collection costs and legally applicable penal interest for any overdue amounts. Your obligation to pay fees continues up to and including the date you cancel your subscription to the Premium Services. All fees and charges are non­refundable and there are no refunds or credits for partially used periods. You also acknowledge that JobGo Premium Services are subject to this Agreement and any possible additional terms related to the provision of the Premium Services.


3.1 No liability for content/downloads

JobGo is not liable either for the content of information carried by means of the Site or for any consequences of communicating such content to Users or any third parties.

Downloads shall be entirely at your own risk. JobGo shall not be liable for any damage or loss which may result from the download, installation, storage or use of software or content from the Site not due to our fault.

3.2 No liability for CV content

JobGo does not make any representations regarding the accuracy or validity of CVs or other information available for evaluation by Companies, and JobGo shall not be responsible for any employment decisions, for whatever reason, made by any entity posting a job, etc.

JobGo reserves the sole right to remove any job posting or content from the Site and/or CV Database at its sole discretion.

3.3 Warranties and Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permissible pursuant to applicable law, JobGo disclaims all warranties, either expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, or the warranty of non­infringement.

Without limiting the foregoing, JobGo does not warrant that the functions contained in the Service will be uninterrupted or error­free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or other harmful components.

The Service and the Site are controlled and operated by JobGo. However, JobGo makes no representation that use of the Service or materials on the Site are appropriate or available for use in your location or country of current residence.

Those who choose to use the Service or access the Site from any location or country do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws and regulations, if and to the extent local laws are applicable. Applicable law may not to full extent allow the exclusion of implied warranties, thus the above exclusion may not apply to full extent to all Users.

Applicable law may not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, thus the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to all Users.

3.4 Indemnity

You hereby agree to indemnify and hold JobGo and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, co­branders or other partners, and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of the use of the Service and the content Members submit, post to, or transmit through the Site and other Internet sites affiliated with the Service, or User usage of or connection to such sites, or User violation of the Terms of Use, or User violation of any rights of another person or entity in connection with the Service.


4.1 Trademarks

The JobGo logo is registered in Finland, and registrations are pending in other countries. JobGo’s trademarks may not be used in connection with any product or service that is not JobGo’s, in any manner that is likely to cause confusion among Users, or in any manner that disparages or discredits JobGo.

4.2 Copyright

All content and compilation of content included on the Site and other Internet sites affiliated with the Service and pertaining to the use of the Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, audio clips and software, are the property of JobGo and are protected by Finnish and international copyright laws. The Service, any Service features and accompanying documentation made available by download from the Site are fully titled and copyrighted works of JobGo.


5.1 Privacy

A separate privacy policy, available at www.jobgo.com, has been provided to explain JobGo’s privacy practices.

5.2 Update of the Terms

While using the Service and the Site, be advised that the current version of the Terms of Use available on the Site always applies.

JobGo reserves the right to modify the Terms of Use at any time by publishing new versions of the Terms of Use on the Site. Such new version shall become effective after thirty (30) days from the date of publication, or sooner if Users accept the new version of the Terms of Use by pressing the ‘Accept’ button on the related page on the Site.

Use of the Service or the Site by Users past the expiration of the thirty­day period shall constitute acceptance of the new version of the Terms of Use.

In case a User does not wish to accept a new version of the Terms of Use, the User may choose to terminate the Service by submitting a termination request via e­mail to support@jobgo.com, with such termination put in force on the date the new version of the Terms of Use becomes effective.

5.3 Service Term

The Company provides the Service to each of its Users for terms of indefinite length. The User term begins on the date of the User registration on the Site.

To terminate the Service, Users shall submit a termination request in writing via e­mail to support@jobgo.com. The termination shall become effective within the next three (3) office days.

5.2 Force Majeure

Any event which negatively affects normal functioning of the Service and is beyond the control of JobGo is considered a force majeure event. Poor functioning or non­functioning of the Service as a result of force majeure does not constitute breach of the Agreement by JobGo. JobGo shall not be liable for any direct or indirect consequences of such force majeure events.

5.5 Governing Law

By ordering or using the Service and the Site, Users and JobGo agree that all matters relating to the use of the Service and the Terms of Use shall be governed by the laws of Finland, without giving effect to any principles of choice of laws. Any disputes shall be resolved by the district court of Helsinki.

5.6 Right to Use

Customer hereby grants JobGo International the nonexclusive right and license to use and display the Customer’s name, logo and similar indicia (“Customer Marks”) (a) to the extent any customization or implementation of the Services involve the incorporation of Customer Marks in furtherance of this Agreement and (b) on its website and marketing collateral identifying Customer as a customer of JobGo International. JobGo International obtains no rights in the Customer Marks except for the limited right described in the preceding sentence, and Customer retains all right, title and interest in the Customer Marks. All use of the Customer Marks by JobGo International will inure to Customer.
